New Hope for Knee Joints Patients !!

Knee joint pain arrives mostly at the age of 40 to 50, this type of pain arrives when cartilages loses its efficiency due to passage of time and wear out. The main purpose of cartilages are to reduce friction between knee joints, we feel pain when this friction increases.

Lots of efforts are done to produces artificial cartilages to replace the natural that wear out, but the effort was still incomplete.

But now a new research had been done at the Weizmann Institute of Space in Israel and developed low friction joints, all this credit goes to Jacob Klein.

These joints are made of polymer with molecular brushes at its surface. The purposes of these brushes are to attract water molecules which provides sheath as they slide over each other, which automatically reduce friction.
